On Saturday 5th 2025, Fatima College’s graduating class of 2000 had their long overdue reunion at their alma mater’s college hall.
We were fortunate to have a mass with Fr. Matthew Ragbir who graduated from our year to start the event. This then flowed into a dinner and blessing of the formal gathering by Fr. Gregory, who made special mention that we graduated in a Jubilee year and the first form 1 class to wear the reintroduced dress uniform of the college.
With us was also FOBA President Christian Flemming who although was originally with the class of ’99, graduated with our class of 2000. The few teachers who were able to join us along with Fr. Gregory were, Mr. and Mrs. Ramdass, Mr. Seemungal and Mrs. Harricharran.
Members who couldn’t be there in person joined via livestream. Like most 1st reunions there were some of us who had not seen each other since the last exam sat for CXC in June 25 years ago. And after many stories shared and catching up about our current lives, at the end we all vowed not to wait another 25 years to have another reunion.
Special shout out to the organizing committee which was led by Arun Singh and consisted of Daniel Fakoory, Chike O’Neil, Michael Forde, Colin Alum, Travis Narine and Kendall Teloka.
