Profile – Bahadur Sunderji (from Newsletter #16)
Bahadur Sunderji was Dean of Forms One and Two from 1980 to 1982 and the Dean of Form 6 for the two years before that. He also served as Vice-Principal from 1983 to 1988. He taught Mathematics at ‘O’ Level and at ‘A’ Level he taught Additional Mathematics, Further Mathematics and at times, Advanced Level Physics. Full article here.

Mr. Charles attended St. Mary’s College, Port of Spain from 1960 to 1966, where he was awarded a Government of India Scholarship. He then migrated to India and in 1969 graduated with a BSC honours in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics from the University of Calcutta. More Here.

In 1971 I heard that Fatima College was looking for a Secretary as the then Secretary, Mr. Ormond Gabriel, was leaving the job. I applied to the Principal, Fr. J.H. Ryan, and was accepted into the Fatima family where I subsequently spent 37 years as Secretary to the Principal. More Here.

I will never forget my first year in teaching. It was a perfect start to my career. The charismatic and indefatigable Clive Pantin was appointed the first lay principal of Fatima College. He set about his task with infectious enthusiasm. The Vice Principal, Fr. Farfan, gave us weekly lectures on teaching. He impressed me as a deeply spiritual, intelligent and creative individual. Both principal and vice principal were always in the staffroom discussing plans for the college and participating in many animated conversations and arguments. More Here.
Tribute to Retired Teacher – Harry Ramdass (from Newsletter #5)
Harry Ramdass taught at Fatima College for almost forty years. He retired on 10th March 2010. He taught several subjects over the years, among them, Geography, Spanish, French, Principles of Business, History, English, Religious Education. He was a disciplinarian and fair with his students and always demanded a hundred per cent from each of them in the classroom or on the field of play. More Here.
