O Lady of Fatima, hail!

Colin Chan at the keyboard and Fr. Harold Imamshah on the guitar led us in the renovated Fatima College Chapel on Saturday, 5th July, 2025, Fatima’s Class of ’75’s celebration of our 50th Year since graduating from Form 6. The singing shook this familiar Chapel with thunderous singing through “Into Your Hands” at the Offertory, the Hosannah, and ending with our Form 6 Anthem, “Wake up my people.”

Sitting in the Sanctuary where he once sat at our monthly First Friday Masses as celebrant, was our former Dean, Teacher, and mentor, Fr. Charles, this time in a wheelchair, not having lost an ounce of his leadership characterized by his continued sharpness, warnings and lessons for life. There was he guiding us in one final word of Mercy.

Many a 75er, accompanied by his spouse, began the slow trek to the blue and yellow decorated Cafeteria, so artistically appointed by Derek de Gannes and his wife Janis, with flower arrangements presented to well deserving ladies, Ms. Mitchell, Fr. Charles’ Nurse, Lesley, Angelo’s wife who travelled with him from Australia.

Fr. Gregory was presented with an elegantly framed portrait of Pope Leo for the front parlour, and 50th Anniversary Polo shirts were given to Fr. Charles and other appreciated guests before Clifford Seedansingh, Andre Augustus and Chris Garcia took our group photos in front of the College, accompanied by the customary jokes and banter, so characteristic of our Fatima Days.
